The Gandhi Ashram Trust was established in 1946, just before India's independence, as a living testament to Mahatma Gandhi's vision of self-reliance, simplicity, and communal harmony.

Our Purpose

The museum serves as a custodian of Gandhian values—truth (Satya), non-violence (Ahimsa), and self-sufficiency (Swadeshi)—ensuring these principles remain accessible to future generations.
